Inventories
An inventory is a report that describes and estimates a set of objects (artworks, furniture, art objects, books, etc.),
generally held by a private individual. Inventories are carried out on-site by PIASA's auctioneers, who can travel to anywhere
within Paris, across France or abroad. Each inventory results in the drafting of a written document sent to the owner of the objects.
Why make an inventory of your furniture?
- to find out the estimate of a set of furniture,
- to undertake a division,
- to make a gift to a living person,
- to negotiate an insurance contract,
- to settle a succession, etc.

STEP II YOUR MANDATE OF SALE: A CLEAR CONTRACT
The mandate of sale is a contract between the seller and PIASA, giving us permission to sell objects belonging to the seller.
This document specifies the terms and conditions of sale, as well as the details of all associated costs.
All associated taxes and costs (if such there are), as well as the reserve prices, are clearly presented.
PIASA ensures that sellers are informed accurately and clearly of conditions of sale before the auction.
There are never any unpleasant surprises.
ETAPE III YOUR PAYMENT
After each sale, PIASA sends a notification of the sale results to the seller.
PIASA undertakes to pay the seller thirty-five days after the sale, as long as they have been paid by the purchaser.
Sellers may be paid by cheque (posted or available for collection from PIASA) or by bank transfer.
If the object has not found a buyer, then PIASA will discuss with the seller the possibility of putting the lot up for auction again.
